Overview...

NWS damage surveys conducted on 04/18/26 found evidence of 
tornadic damage in and around Warsaw, Missouri. This report is 
preliminary, and additional details are expected with future 
analysis.

building on 83 and Highway MM southeast of Warsaw. This tornado
is also reported to have damaged trees in the area. The length of
the path will be determined with further analysis.

Survey Summary:
An NWS survey concluded an EF1 tornado touched down northwest of
Warsaw, tracking at least as far east as highway 65. The tornado
flipped several mobile homes resting on blocks, damaged signs and
roofing associated with stores along highway 65, and created a
pattern of tree damage including many uprooted or snapped. The
damage track likely extends farther to the southwest and
northeast, and additional future surveying is planned.

EF Scale: The Enhanced Fujita Scale classifies tornadoes into the
following categories:

EF0.....65 to 85 mph
EF1.....86 to 110 mph
EF2.....111 to 135 mph
EF3.....136 to 165 mph
EF4.....166 to 200 mph
EF5.....>200 mph

These results are preliminary, and an additional extension of the
path to the northeast and southwest may be warranted with further
analysis.
