Rating: EF-U Estimated Peak Wind: N/A mph Path Length /statute/: 0.84 miles Path Width /maximum/: 95 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 09/13/25 Start Time: 1:07 PM MDT Start Location: North slopes of Sawtooth Mountain Start Lat/Lon: 38.2991/-106.8514 End Date: 09/13/25 End Time: 1:12 PM MDT End Location: North slopes of Sawtooth Mountain End Lat/Lon: 38.2994/-106.8364 A brief tornado developed along the northern slopes of Sawtooth Mountain during the early afternoon of September 13th, 2025. It quickly pushed eastward causing tree damage and then dissipated after about 5 minutes. A damage scar was recognized via satellite data, and this data was used to perform the damage survey. Both radar data and the environment were supportive of a tornado at this location. However given uncertainty with the damage indicators, the tornado has been rated EF-U. && EF Scale: The Enhanced Fujita Scale classifies tornadoes into the following categories: EF0.....65 to 85 mph EF1.....86 to 110 mph EF2.....111 to 135 mph EF3.....136 to 165 mph EF4.....166 to 200 mph EF5.....>200 mph NOTE: The information in this statement is preliminary and subject to change pending final review of the event and publication in NWS Storm Data. $$ Simoce/Rodriguez
