Survey Summary:
Around 3:09am on March 7, 2026 a severe thunderstorm produced a
tornado near the community of Prospect, Texas. The tornado
initially touched down just west of HWY 59 where multiple snapped
trunks of hardwood trees were noted. As the tornado quickly
continued east, it heavily damaged several structures. A
residential home west of the highway was damaged by a fallen
tree. Next to the home, a barn was completely destroyed, with
only the wooden frame remaining. Debris from the barn along with
the barn s contents were strewn across the front yard and into
the highway median and onto the northbound side of the highway.
Just to the east of HWY 59, another residential home experienced
significant damage after being moved feet away from its
foundation. Several large hardwood trees were also uprooted and
fell on top of a nearby shed. Just north of this home, another
home experienced tornado damage. In the backyard of this home, a
small shed was completely destroyed, with contents strewn across
the yard, along with damage to vehicles. In this yard, a camper
was tossed and rolled into another nearby shed, where several
occupants were thrown about and injured. The tornado continued
east/northeast, snapping and uprooting numerous trees before
moving into additional residential areas on East Prospect Rd.
Here, damage to several roofs were noted, and additional sheds
and barns experienced significant damage, along with major
hardwood tree snaps and downed powerlines. Thereafter, the
tornado weakened as it moved northeast away from East Prospect Rd
and crossed Scotts Bayou. Some tree damage was then found along
Hall Road before the tornado then lifted as it moved as East CC
Rd and toward the town of Lodi around 3:14am.

Survey Summary:
During the morning hours on Saturday, March 7, 2026 a severe
thunderstorm produced a tornado with peak winds of 125 mph just
west of Willisville, Arkansas. This same storm had a history of
producing tornadoes across eastern Texas. The first sign of
damage from the tornado was seen just south of the intersection
of Highway 32 and County Road 9 near a large open field. The
tornado brought down multiple large trees before heading
northwest through the large open field. On the far northeast
corner of the field is where tree damage picked up again, before
tracking across Highway 32 just to the west of County Road 17.
The more significant damage was found near County Road 122,
County Road 17, and County Road 1702 where numerous structures
sustained damage. A single wide residence was lifted off the
rooted foundation and tossed around 100 feet before landing and
being completely destroyed. There was one occupant in the
residence who thankfully walked away from the incident with minor
injuries. It was at this location that the tornado was rated an
EF-2 with max winds of 125 mph. The tornado then went through
another grove of trees before crossing County Road 17 just north
of County Road 1702 where it destroyed a small garage/storage
unit. Damage from this unit was scattered all throughout an open
field all the way to County Road 124. It also brought down a
number of very large trees as it crossed the road. As the tornado
crossed over County Road 124, it appears to have started to lift,
as damage was more sporadic in an wide open field. The adjacent
tree line at the end of the field along the path of the tornado
had a few trees down, but there was no evidence that the tornado
remained on the ground from this point.

A special thanks goes out to to the Nevada County Office of
Emergency Management for helping us locate the damage and to Josh
Klober who helped us gain additional points from locations
unreachable.
