...NWS Damage Survey for 3/11/26 Tornado Event - Update # 4...

.Update...Following analysis of aerial imagery and coordination with
neighboring offices, the following additional adjustments have been
made to surveyed tornado paths from the evening of March 11th:

*The track that was previously named the Ruth and Jayess tornado has
been split into two separate paths - an EF1 tracking from Ruth to
Bristerville to north of Jayess and a separate EF1 path south of
that tracking through Jayess.
*The path of the Chocktaw Road EF1 has been adjusted more
southeastward along a swath of tree damage that was not accessible
by ground survey teams.
*Also in Jefferson Davis County, the EF1 Jefferson Davis 1 and EF1
West Bassfield tornado paths were combined into a single path, with
additional minor tweaks made to the new path.
*It was determined that an EF1 tornado path named the Pleasant Grove
1 in northwestern Wayne County actually began in northeastern Jones
County along Blackledge Road.

No additional changes are planned from this tornado event.

Jackson area, including eleven EF1s (one of these was EF0 in the NWS

Public Information Statement
National Weather Service Jackson MS

...NWS Damage Survey for 3/11/26 Tornado Event - Update # 4...

.Update...Following analysis of aerial imagery and coordination with
neighboring offices, the following additional adjustments have been
made to surveyed tornado paths from the evening of March 11th:

No additional changes are planned from this tornado event.

.Overview...Twelve tornadoes were confirmed across the NWS
Jackson area, including eleven EF1s (one of these was EF0 in the NWS
Jackson area and reached EF1 strength in the NWS Mobile area) and

across portions of Lincoln, Lawrence, and Jefferson Davis counties.
