Damage includes two houses with roofs partially blown off. 20ft tree damaged mainly with 8 inch diameter branch snapped off. Fence down. Some siding ripped off. Two power poles down by the southern area of damage. Also noted a lot of damage from large hail of 2.5 to 3.0 inch in diameter. Based on this report and photos shared with the National Weather Service Bismarck office, a preliminary report of EF1 damage with peak wind gust up to 97 mph was given to this tornado. A new report of tornado damage was found 2 miles north of Crystal Springs. This is likely the new start of the tornado. Here a power pole was leaning over. A farm building was completely destroyed, while an older barn had its walls collapsed and is likely damaged beyond repair. There is tree damage reported at this initial location as well. Also, an empty grain bin was lift and moved 400 feet northward, hitting vehicles along its path. From there the tornado snapped and downed trees to the trunk with leaves and branches blown off. Bent and twisted a power tower. Damage the roof to one farm building, while another farm building was completely destroyed. There was shingle, roof, garage and siding damage to homes. Debris scattered around property and up to a half mile away. Semi trailer tipped to the side. Tornado lasted approximately 11 minutes and traveled east northeast for roughly 7 miles from the new initial damage point. Given damage indicators a preliminary rating of EF1 has been given with winds up 108 mph. Damage track starts near the intersection of 41st Ave and 32nd Street, New Salem, approximately 6 miles north-northwest of Sweet Briar Lake. The tornado then tracked east-northeast and impacted 3 farmsteads. The first farm had minimal damage, before the most observed damage occurred at the second farm. This is where two separate farm buildings lost their roofs, and one had the walls destroyed as well, which was consistent with estimated wind speeds of 110 mph which is equivalent to EF-1 damage. There was also a grain bin significantly damaged. About a mile of power poles were broken or leaned over on Highway 84 in between the second and third farms that were hit. The third farm had roof damage to the main house as well as to one of the farm buildings, consistent with EF-1 wind speeds around 110 mph. The tornado then tracked east and hit a wind turbine that lost a blade. The confirmed path so far is approximately 4.5 miles long and the tornado lasted for 9 minutes. At this location there was a barn roof destroyed, a silo with its top ripped off, a garage door blown in, and a farm building with extensive roof damage. Another grain bin lifted, hit vehicles, and landed 400 feet to the north of its location. Semi trailer tipped to the side. Tornado lasted approximately 12 minutes and traveled east northeast for roughly 12 miles from this initial point. Video evidence gathered from social media verifies that a supercell thunderstorm produced two tornadoes just north of Bismarck, North Dakota, on the evening of Friday, June 27th 2025. The first tornado resulted in damage at a residence along 110th Ave NW. The tornado tracked south, across the roadway and dissipated in an open field. The tornado lasted approximately 4 minutes. A second tornado then developed south of 110th Ave NW and drifted slowly southwest before dissipating in the same open field. The second tornado lasted approximately 5 minutes. .Bismarck Tornado 1... A storm survey found that the tornado developed just north of a residence on 110th Ave NW, an east to west roadway. The tornado moved from north to south across the residence lot, causing significant roof damage to an outbuilding, toppling a covered trailer and snapping or uprooting a few trees. The tornado crossed 110th Ave NW and snapped several branches of a large cottonwood tree in the ditch on the south side of the roadway. The tornado then traveled a few hundred feet into an open field before dissipating. The damage found was consistent with EF1 tornado damage with estimated peak winds of 95 mph. .Bismarck Tornado 2... The tornado drifted slowly to the southwest, and then dissipated at 10:34 PM CDT. A damage survey turned up no damage caused by this tornado.
