Rating: EF1 Estimated Peak Wind: 100 mph Path Length /statute/: 1.23 miles Path Width /maximum/: 270 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 10 Start Date: 10/27/2025 Start Time: 06:30 AM CDT Start Location: Mexico Beach / / FL Start Lat/Lon: 29.9437 / -85.4144 End Date: 10/27/2025 End Time: 06:45 AM CDT End Location: 1 NNW Beacon Hill / Bay County / FL End Lat/Lon: 29.9402 / -85.3944 Survey Summary: A tornadic waterspout moved onshore into Mexico Beach at approximately 630am CT, causing roof and siding damage to a couple of homes along the beach. The roof of the El Governor hotel was lifted and tossed across U.S. 98 into an RV park, where several RV's were damaged or rolled over. A number of minor injuries were reported at the RV park. The tornado continued eastward, moving inland across several neighborhoods. Roof damage, the most significant of which involved the peeling of metal roofing, was noted at several locations. Otherwise, the damage was scattered and mostly minor. The tornado dissipated before reaching Highway 386. The damage was consistent was an EF- 1 tornado with maximum winds of approximately 100 mph. ..Salt Creek Tornado... Rating: EF0 Estimated Peak Wind: 70 mph Path Length /statute/: 0.55 miles Path Width /maximum/: 50 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 10/27/2025 Start Time: 06:35 AM CDT Start Location: 1 WNW Mexico Beach / Bay County / FL Start Lat/Lon: 29.9585 / -85.4388 End Date: 10/27/2025 End Time: 06:36 AM CDT End Location: 1 NW Mexico Beach / Bay County / FL End Lat/Lon: 29.9574 / -85.4297 Survey Summary: A very brief tornado tracked across U.S. Highway 98, damaging fencing and signs in a new construction neighborhood. The fencing was blown from east to west across the highway.
