...NWS DAMAGE SURVEY FOR 06/22/2026 TORNADO EVENT...


A few thunderstorms and supercells developed in the afternoon of
June 22. One of these supercells near Kimball developed several
weak landspout tornadoes several miles to the south of Kimball.

End location: 9.8 miles south of Kimball, NE
End lat/lon: 41.0928 / -103.6671

A brief landspout was observed by several storm chasers in an open
field between County Road 16 and County Road 14. No damage was
reported.

Another weak landspout was documented occurring alongside the
first landspout. Since this tornado occurred largely in an empty
field and did no known damage, it will be rated EFU.

EF Scale: The Enhanced Fujita Scale Classifies Tornadoes into the
following categories.

EF0...Weak......65 to 85 mph
EF1...Weak......86 to 110 mph
EF2...Strong....111 to 135 mph
EF3...Strong....136 to 165 mph
EF4...Violent...166 To 200 mph
EF5...Violent...>200 mph

A multicelluar cluster of showers and thunderstorms was located over the
affected area at the time of the event. A non-mesocyclonic tornado was
reported underneath one of the stronger thunderstorms in this region.
