...NWS Damage Survey for 05/12/26 Tornado Event...

A quasi-stationary surface boundary draped west to east across the
northern peninsula and an approaching upper-level disturbance
combined to create an environment of moderate shear and
instability over parts of the Nature Coast and West Central
Florida favoring organized convection on Tuesday afternoon, as a
cluster of thunderstorms that originated over the eastern Gulf
during the morning slowly traversed eastward and approached the
western Florida coast by early afternoon. A storm exhibiting
supercell characteristics while offshore over the eastern Gulf
moved ashore near Hudson in Pasco County, producing an EF-0
tornado around 1814 UTC (2:14 PM EDT) that traveled for just over
one mile crossing U.S. Hwy 19 near Hudson before dissipating.
Indications of intermittent straight-line wind damage were
observed northeast of where the tornado was estimated to have
dissipated, before radar indicated increasing rotation west of
Shady Hills about 20 minutes later, and a second tornado is
estimated to have touched down around 1843 UTC (2:43 PM EDT),
producing EF-0 damage while moving very slowly and tracking less
than one mile before dissipating.

A storm exhibiting supercell characteristics for multiple hours
while offshore moved ashore with a tornado estimated to have
touched down around 1814 UTC (2:14 PM EDT) near Hudson in Pasco
County, while continuing to exhibit a rotational signature via
KTBW WSR-88D and TTPA TDWR. Damage was initially observed along
Saltwater Blvd, where a tree branch was snapped and fell onto a
power line. Additional damage points were noted further east along
Saltwater Blvd, with two homes suffering partial roof damage or
loss. Additional homes suffered various degrees of roof, lanai or
carport damage at points northward across Puffin, Heron and Curlew
Lanes, while tree damage was noted across nearby Osprey and Gull
Lanes. The tornado then crossed U.S. Hwy 19 before the radar
signature became increasingly disorganized shortly thereafter,
and it is likely that the tornado dissipated sometime around 1819
UTC (2:19 PM EDT) between Whitby Road and Lakeshore Blvd after
traveling for just over one mile.

.Shady Hills Tornado...

Rating: EF-0
Estimated Peak Wind: 85 mph
Path Length /statute/: 0.69 miles
Path Width /maximum/: 250 yards
Fatalities: 0
Injuries: 0

Start Date: 05/12/2026
Start Time: 02:43 PM EDT
Start Location: 4 ESE Aripeka / Pasco County / FL
Start Lat/Lon: 28.4008 / -82.6078

End Date: 05/12/2026
End Time: 02:48 PM EDT
End Location: 4 SSW Spring Hill / Pasco County / FL
End Lat/Lon: 28.3948/ -82.5991

The development of a second circulation became apparent west of
Shady Hills around 20 minutes after the circulation associated
with the Hudson tornado weakened, and it is estimated that a
tornado touched down near Gladwin Avenue to the west of East Road
at approximately 1843 UTC (2:43 PM EDT). Damage from this tornado
consisted largely of snapped tree limbs and branches, although a
large tree was uprooted and downed onto a mobile home along Eden
Avenue near the intersection of East Road. The tornado moved very
slowly east and east-southeast while appearing to exhibit a bit of
a binary interaction with the remnant circulation that produced
the Hudson tornado that was located to its east, before radar
indicated it likely dissipated around 1848 UTC (2:48 PM EDT), less
than one mile from where it is estimated to have touched down.

...NWS Damage Survey for 5/17/26 Fort Myers and Cape Coral
Landspout Tornado Events...

.Overview...A cluster of thunderstorms developing and propagating
northward across southwest Florida and Lee County produced three
landspout tornadoes during the afternoon of May 17th that
affected parts of Fort Myers and Cape Coral. Numerous pictures
and videos were captured of the funnel and apparent surface
circulations, along with varying degrees of damage to vegetation
and structures. Post-storm analysis and damage assessment
indicate that the circulations were mostly transient and
relatively short-lived while moving generally northwestward along
the leading edge of the thunderstorms, likely associated with
developing updrafts and enhanced by interaction with sea breeze
and other convectively-generated boundaries in the vicinity.
Current assessment of each of the landspout tornadoes indicate
EF-0 strength, with maximum estimated winds ranging from 65-75
mph. Evidence of gusty downburst winds in association with the
cluster of thunderstorms was also noted in addition to the
landspout tornadoes, producing additional areas of damage.

the east of U.S. Hwy 41/S Cleveland Ave and north of Woodland
Blvd, where a citizen submitted video of a rotating cloud base and
funnel near Wawa and Culver's, and later confirmed that they
witnessed a ground circulation with surface and lofted dust and
small debris. No significant damage was reported, and no other
reports, pictures or videos have been confirmed indicating that
the track extended beyond that location.

End Lat/Lon: 26.6056 / -81.9005

Survey Summary:
A second landspout tornado was likely associated with the
circulation responsible for the first landspout, and is estimated
to have formed around 3:25 PM EDT approximately 1.75 miles to the
northwest of the first landspout, where damage was first noted
along Reynard Ave in the Tanglewood area where a large tree had
numerous medium to large branches snapped. Continuing northwest,
branches and limbs were snapped at multiple locations across
Cumberland and Woodwind Courts, and a home near Tanglewood Pkwy
had a large tree uprooted in its yard. Additional footage was
submitted from the Tanglewood area depicting lawn furniture and
yard decor scattered about, along with fence and roof damage, and
a video taken by a resident along Westminster Dr at 3:28 PM EDT
showed airborne debris along with indications of the ground
circulation as the landspout neared the McGregor Gardens area and
Argyle Dr and McGregor Blvd. The circulation continued northwest
across the Georgetown area just south of Colonial Blvd and began
crossing the Caloosahatchee River just to the west-southwest of
McGregor Colonial Memorial Park, and to the south of the Midpoint
Bridge around 3:30 PM EDT. Videos taken by the public showed
surface spray associated with the circulation as it approached and
crossed the Midpoint Bridge west of McGregor Colonial Memorial
Park and continued northwest toward the central section of the
river north of the bridge, where it is estimated to have
dissipated around 3:31 PM EDT before reaching the western shore
of the river.

End Lat/Lon: 26.6054 / -81.989

Survey Summary:
A third landspout tornado formed over Cape Coral just north of the
Sovereign Canal near SW 28th St around 3:35 PM EDT in association
with a separate segment of the cluster of thunderstorms, with
evidence of the circulation visible in video taken by residents
along SW 4th Ave and SW 5th Ave. Footage from SW 4th Ave showed a
pickup truck in the driveway of a home being displaced a number of
feet as the circulation passed by the location, and footage from
the SW 5th Ave location showed the funnel of the landspout and the
surface circulation behind a home over the Niagara Canal.
Additional footage of the circulation was taken approximately one-
quarter mile to the northwest near the Seabell Canal, where
footage from a home on the southern edge of the canal along SW
26th Ter showed the circulation blowing lawn chairs around and
lofting additional unidentified debris, while also knocking over
and blowing around vinyl fencing in the backyard of a home on the
opposite/northern side of the canal along SW 26th St. A few
additional reports and photos from the vicinity also indicated
fence and some roof damage as the circulation neared the
intersection of Skyline Blvd and Veterans Pkwy before it is
estimated to have dissipated around 3:38 PM EDT, as no other

...NWS Damage Survey for 05/24/2026 Villages of Bayport Tornado...

.Overview...

On Sunday, May 24th, 2026 a developing thunderstorm produced a
waterspout that moved onshore in the Villages of Bayport
Community. Just before the tornado formed, thunderstorm convergence
was taking place along the FL west coast as sea breeze boundaries
collided. Several thunderstorms developed along a line extending
from Sarasota Bay, through Manatee County, and into Tampa Bay. The
northernmost cell along this line developed over Old Tampa Bay,
just west of Tampa International Airport near Rocky Point. This
thunderstorm remained on one of the boundaries, and briefly
developed a shallow mesocyclone that extended to around 5kft. This
would go on to produce the brief waterspout that would move
onshore before quickly diminishing as the cell moved off the
boundary and became outflow dominant.

...NWS Damage Survey for 05/26/2026 Parrish Tornado...

During the afternoon of Tuesday, May 26th, 2026, a developing
thunderstorm moving north-northwestward across northern Manatee
County encountered the intersection of north-to-south oriented bay
breeze boundary east of Tampa Bay, and a lingering east-to-west
oriented boundary generated by outflow from earlier convection
located in the vicinity of Parrish near the intersection of U.S.
Hwy 301 and SR 62. As the developing storm moved across the area,
its updraft ingested the intersecting boundaries, resulting in a
small area of quickly strengthening rotation evident via KTBW
radar that then crossed U.S. Hwy 301 before briefly producing a
tornado just north and west of the highway. The tornado was short-
lived, and traveled just under a quarter of a mile before
lifting.
