Survey Summary:

A localized circulation moved across Morgan county with sporadic
wind damage until it approached the southern portion of 
Mooresville where it strengthened and started snapping large 
trees. There was mix of hardwood and softwoods both snapped and
uprooted found from the storm survey conducted by NWS 
Indianapolis personnel. This began roughly within the neighborhood
off of Carol Lane and East Wilson Drive, crossing over Rooker 
Road. Then the tornado continued east towards the Pennington Road 
and E Neitzel Road location. This tornado began to drift northeast
along Neitzel Road in Morgan County before dissipating before 
Turner road.

Survey Summary:

The second touchdown began after the initial circulation began to
cycle with damage beginning about a half mile south of E Spring
Lake Road. The tornado then crossed over N Kitchen Road also
within Morgan County. This second touchdown demonstrated a more
notable surface impact with ground splatter being found on
several homes and barns along E Spring Lake Road and several
large healthy hardwood and softwood trees snapped or uprooted.
This path continued to the east and slightly northeast crossing
over Forest Grove Road and ending off of Ruth Lane off of E
Spring Lake Road in Morgan County.

Survey Summary:
The tornado touched down just east of County Road 300E south of
its intersection with County Road 875N where multiple hardwood
trees were snapped about 15 to 20 ft above ground. Additional tree
damage was found along County Road 875N and County Road 375E. The
tornado moved northeast and caused substantial damage to barns and
to at least one home along County Roads 900N and 925N. Two barns
were destroyed with several others sustaining roof damage. The
tornado weakened and then lifted near County Road 500E a short
distance north of County Road 925N. The tornado may not have been
on the ground continuously for the whole track.

Additional straight line wind damage was found about one to two 
miles to the south-southeast of the tornado track. 30 to 40 power
poles were either snapped or leaning along County Road 800N
between County Road 400E and County Road 500E, and along County
ROad 500E for over a mile to the north. A building at the Rose
Acre Farms had its roof ripped off in multiple spots. A few barns
had roof damage within this area as well. Peak gusts within this 
area of straight line winds were up to 100 mph.
