Survey Summary:
On June 6th, a brief EF-1 tornado occurred just southwest of
Beallsville, originating from a meso-vortex within a broad line
of storms that impacted the region. Initial damage, consisting of
several large snapped branches and uprooted trees, was observed
along Kefover Road. A farm on Glendon Lane became a primary area
of focus after a barn was partially destroyed, with debris
scattered northeastward across a field and onto a neighboring
property; the fact that this debris was lofted to the left of the
storm's general path served as an indicator of rotation. This
location also saw a line of trees uprooted at a valley base and
several pines snapped mid-trunk, though the residence sustained
only minor porch damage. As the storm moved eastward up the
hillside, it left sporadic tree damage in its wake before causing
further concentrated destruction along Martindale Road, where
numerous trees were snapped or uprooted at a farm and adjacent
site.

Survey Summary:
A strong line of storms with embedded mesovortices moved across
Washington county on June 6th. As the storm was approaching
Centerville, the vortex tightened as noted on radar. This
coincides with a swath of damage to trees from just west of Conti
Road to Spring Road, with nearly 200 trees down around the
National Pike Steam Show property. Trees were both snapped and
uprooted, indicative of 95-100mph wind. While sporadic damage was noted
east of that location in the county, this was more likely due to the
surge in the line as the meso vortex weakened.

...NWS Damage Survey Summary for June 6th Tornado Event - Update
#2...

.Update...CORRECTED Overview Section

.Overview...

As of this writing, a total of six tornadoes have been
confirmed to have occurred during the afternoon of June 6th.
All of these tornadoes occurred as mesovortices embedded in
a larger squall line. Areas of straight-line wind damage also
occurred in other portions of the squall line that were not
tornadic.

Three tornadoes impacted Washington County during this event.
These are the 16th, 17th, and 18th tornadoes to impact the county since
1950. These are the first tornadoes in the county since May 21,
2025, when two tornadoes occurred.

Three tornadoes also impacted Fayette County during this event.
These are the 15th, 16th, and 17th tornadoes to impact the county
since 1950. These are the first tornadoes in the county since
March 16, 2025, when two tornadoes occurred.

One tornado, which started in Fayette County, crossed into
Westmoreland County. This is the 35th tornado to impact the
county since 1950. This is the first tornado in the county since
March 16th, 2025, when two tornadoes occurred.

PA
End Lat/Lon: 40.0448 / -80.0489

As the storm moved eastward up the
hillside, it left sporadic tree damage in its wake before causing
further concentrated destruction along Martindale Road, where
numerous trees were snapped or uprooted at a farm and adjacent
site.

End Lat/Lon: 40.0998 / -79.9299

Survey Summary:
On the afternoon of June 6, 2026, an EF1 tornado, generated
within a squall line, tracked just over 7 miles eastward across
Washington County, PA. The tornado first formed near Cokeburg,
snapping large pine trees between Route 917 and Washington
Street. After a brief lift, it reformed two miles east near
Ellsworth, along Beallsville Road and Cherry Street. This segment
recorded the highest intensity, with maximum wind gusts of
110 mph. Damage included the snapping of approximately
50 hardwood trees and partial roof damage to one home on Cherry
Street from a falling tree. The tornado continued its path,
primarily snapping or uprooting hardwood trees as it crossed
Deems Park Road, Woodland Road, Locust Road, Scenic Drive,
California Drive, and Deer Run Lane, before finally dissipating
at Cross Ridge Road.

The National Weather Service would like to thank the Washington
County Department of Public Safety for their assistance with this
survey.

While sporadic damage was
noted

With the guidance of Jefferson County EMA, today a survey team
from NWS Pittsburgh evaluated damage from Sunday's storms in
Jefferson County, PA. The team has confirmed that the damage
observed was the result of a tornado.

Damage was first seen in a wooded area bounded by Nickles Road
and London Road, mainly in the form of sporadic snapped limbs.
As the storm emerged from the wooded area, it snapped softwood
trees at a farmstead near Burns and Anita-Oliveburg Road. The
tornado weakened briefly as it progressed eastward, with
intermittent damage to limbs along Anita-Oliveburg Road, including
one on a shed. After crossing to Knox Dale Road, the tornadic
circulation strengthened and grew in size, and damage became
considerably more consistent and notable. Beginning here and
continuing northeast toward Route 310, large swaths of healthy
and sturdy hardwood and softwood trees were snapped and uprooted,
most notably near Team Road and along an adjacent hillside. On this
hillside was the most significant damage, where almost no tree was
left intact. Wind speed here was estimated to be at least 110 mph,
at the high end of the EF1 scale. After descending the hill to a
neighborhood north of Anita, the circulation weakened only slightly,
and damage continued, consisting of snapped and uprooted trees along
Route 310. Also in this area, a home lost its carport and suffered
light damage to siding and roof material. Here wind was most consistent
with 90-100 mph speed. No damage was made available to the survey team
beyond this location, and it would appear the tornado weakened rapidly
after this point. There were several inaccessible damage swaths that
will benefit from an aerial survey, the result of which is anticipated
to be provided by Jefferson County EMA later this week. Observed damage
is consistent with a high-end EF1 wind speed (max wind 110 mph), which
will be reevaluated upon review of any aerial survey that can be obtained
of the inaccessible locations. No tornadic damage was reported elsewhere.
Additional extensive searches for damage were conducted in the Ringgold area
near Corsica, to no avail.

Details of the path length and width will be finalized on Tuesday after
quality control of damage points is undertaken.

This is the first tornado recorded in Jefferson County, PA since October 2021.
NWS Pittsburgh is grateful for the assistance of Jefferson County EMA, local
township fire department personnel, and the public for their damage reports
that facilitated the completion of this survey.

it snapped softwood trees at a farmstead near Burns and Anita
Oliveburg Road. The tornado weakened briefly as it progressed
eastward, with intermittent damage to limbs along Anita Oliveburg
Road and Blocks Rd, including one on a shed. After crossing to
Knox Dale Road, the tornadic circulation strengthened and grew in
size, and damage became considerably more consistent and notable.
Beginning here and continuing northeast toward Route 310, large
swaths of healthy and sturdy hardwood and softwood trees were
snapped and uprooted, most notably near Team Road and along an
adjacent hillside. On this hillside was the most significant
damage, where almost no tree was left intact. Wind speed here was
estimated to be at least 110 mph, at the high end of the EF1 scale.
After descending the hill toward Shane Dr, the circulation
weakened only slightly, and damage continued, consisting of
snapped and uprooted trees along Route 310. Also in this area, a
home lost its carport and suffered light damage to siding and roof
material. Here, wind was most consistent with 90-100 mph speed.
*NEW* Damage to a barn and trees along Graffius Ave Ext was
brought to the survey team's attention on Tuesday, enabling the
survey team to extend the prior path over the hillside adjacent to
Shane Dr. There were several inaccessible damage swaths that will
benefit from an aerial survey, which the survey team has received
and will examine over the coming days. Observed damage is
consistent with a high-end EF1 wind speed (max wind 110 mph),
which will be reevaluated upon review of the provided aerial
survey. No tornadic damage was reported elsewhere across
Jefferson County. Additional extensive searches for damage were
conducted in the Ringgold area, and near Corsica, to no avail. As
of this update, the tornado's path is updated to 3.7 miles long,
and width of 300 yd. This is the first tornado recorded in
Jefferson County, PA since October 2021. NWS Pittsburgh is grateful
for the assistance of Jefferson County EMA, local township fire
department personnel, and the public for their damage reports that
facilitated the completion of this survey.

Survey Summary:
The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh concluded an EF1
tornado touched down just north of Moraine State Park on Sunday
June 14th. The tornado started on Patterson Road, west of West Park
Road, then moved east, snapping large branches and a few trees near
the trunk along Cornellus Road. There was a brief period when the
twister lifted before it came back down and caused tree damage on
Cornellus road. The largest amount of tree damage was observed on
West Park Road where an old barn roof was lifted off and numerous
large trees had branches knocked down.

Survey Summary:
A separate circulation produced a second tornado (EF0 intensity)
southeast of the first track. This storm broke large hardwood tree
branches. No structural damage was observed or reported. Additional
damage farther into the wooded areas is possible and could
necessiate future changes if aerial footage is obtained at a later
date. The tornado lifted before the intersection of Muddy Creek
Drive and Route 8 since no damage was found east of Route 8.

With these two tornadoes, this marks 30 documented tornadoes for
Butler County since 1880. The last reported tornado for Butler
County was May 2025.

Survey Summary:
Tornado damage was first noted near the intersection of Cider Mill
Road and Georgetown Road, with some trees snapped and uprooted. As
the tornado traveled southeast, it ripped off and threw a metal
sheet 800ft into neighboring properties and into the trees. Several
trees in this location were also snapped half way up the base or
uprooted. Additional damage was noted, again to trees along Steward
Road and Hunt Road. Here, trees were uprooted and snapped,
bringing down a power pole. A house also had some shingles removed
and three large pines uprooted. A definitive path continued to the
south and east with additional damage noted along Depot Road, State
Route 45, Salem Grange Road, Lisbon Road and just south of State
Route 558. All of this damage was to trees. The tornado then lifted
just west of State Route 11, near Lower Elton Road, where damage
became much more sporadic and more indicative of straight-line
winds.

The National Weather Service would like to thank Columbiana
County Emergency Management for assistance on this survey.

End Lat/Lon: 40.7882 / -80.5112

Survey Summary:
The cell that produced the tornado near Salem continued to track
southeastward toward Negley OH with a much weaker presentation on
radar than it had prior. Just before the storm reached the state
border, another tightening of the couplet was noted coincident with
a swath of damage along and south of Darlington/Cannelton Road.
Here, several trees were downed along the Youngstown and Southern
Railroad tracks and on a property just across the PA state line
into Beaver County. At this location, an awning of a garage was
ripped off and flipped over the garage, from south to north, as
trees were snapped and uprooted through the property. This would
be where the tornado was strongest before beginning to weaken as
it moved to the southwest. Some tree damage was noted just south
of Cannelton Road before Watts Mills Road but no additional damage
was noted east of there. Pending additional aerial surveys, the
track could be extended southeast, but radar suggests that a storm
developing ahead of this one disrupted its tornadogenesis and
likely precluded too much farther tracking of the tornado southeast.

Concentrated damage was first noted by Darling Road and Clayton
Road, which was coincident with a tightening couplet on the radar.
Damage in this location was mainly to trees, with large branches
snapped and one tree uprooted. Damage then continued along Clayton
Road and in the neighborhood just south of Clayton Road. Some siding
was ripped off a home on George Street and trees were snapped off
at varying levels in a southeastward direction. A garage was smashed
after a portion of a pine tree was sheared off at its top. Tree
damage was noted until around 27th Street, when the tornado
appears to have lifted coincident with weakening of the radar
signature.

the west side of Stone Springhouse road in a wooded area where
large tree branches were broken. It then traveled across the
aforementioned road and continued to uproot trees and snap off
large branches from both hardwood and softwood trees. This is the
location of the damage that produced the highest estimated wind
speed. This was just south of the intersection of Breedtown road
and Stone Springhouse road. There was no structure damage
observed just fallen trees. An estimated 30 trees were impacted by
this twister.

The last recorded tornado in Venango county was July 29th 2021.

Survey Summary:
With the guidance of Jefferson County EMA, a survey team from NWS
Pittsburgh evaluated damage from Sunday's storms in Jefferson
County, PA. The team has confirmed that the damage observed was
the result of a tornado. Damage was first seen in a wooded area
bounded by Nickles Road and London Road, mainly in the form of
sporadic snapped limbs. As the storm emerged from the wooded area,
it snapped softwood trees at a farmstead near Burns and Anita

A mesovortex developed along a quasi-linear convective system as
it crossed from Washington into Fayette County, PA around 4:45 PM
on the evening of June 22nd. Rotation tightened until the storm
produced a short tornado in the Sandy Hollow area, south of
Vanderbilt. Tree damage was initially noted along Little Summit
Road. The tornado then crossed Lower Sandy Hollow Road, passed
through a field and clipped the tops of trees in a wooded area
before crossing Upper Sandy Hollow Road. It lifted shortly
thereafter. A majority of the damage was snapped hard and softwood
trees along with large branches. Structural damage was limited to
a partially blown-in garage door along Lower Sandy Hallow Road.

Of note, this is the second tornado to have crossed Lower Sandy
Hollow Road this month. An EF1 tornado also crossed just west of
the path on June 6, 2026, with damage from the two separate storms
overlapping in several areas. Special thanks to the public for
providing invaluable aerial imagery which aided the damage
analysis.

A discrete cell ahead of an incoming line of storms developed
over western Marion County at around 5:30pm on the evening of June
22nd. As the storm matured, it developed mid-level rotation and
turned right, becoming more favorable for tornado-genesis. The
first sign of a touchdown occurred at 6:11pm, with the time
estimated from radar. This occurred just south of Reubens Run Road
in Marion County. A narrow swath of trees was downed just south
of the road, and one tree was reported down on a car along Cowger
Lane. The tornado lifted just one minute later at 6:12pm. In the
succeeding minutes, the mid-level rotation weakened aloft upon
