Survey Summary:

A swath of strong straight line winds occurred across the north
side of Upper Sandusky, Ohio on March 11, 2026. The winds
resulted in signficant damage to a couple barns. Damage was also
sustained to a metal roof of a motorcycle business along with
damage to a garage door and windows of another building. A semi-
truck was flipped over on US Highway 23. Winds also brought down
powerlines and a large tree was uprooted. Two people sustained
minor injuries.

The damage noted was all directed to the northeast and was
determined to be the result of a microburst with winds speeds of
approximately 85 mph. A microburst is a column of sinking air
within a thunderstorm less than 2.5 miles wide. Our thanks are
extended to local Emergency Managers in assisting with the storm
survey and to all those that submitted reports and pictures.
