The track was a few miles north of Blair with mainly tree damage noted. The tornado ended just before the Trempealeau/Jackson county line on Turri Coulee Road at 4:17 pm. The first portion of the tornado was weak with mainly EF0 damage. On the second portion of the 12 mile track, the tornado intensified to produce approximately 100 mph winds with tree and farm outbuilding damage. The tornado continued into Jackson county and affected rural areas causing tree damage, sometimes extensive acreage, before ending near the intersection of Highway 10 and Moe Rd. Rating: EF1 Estimated Peak Wind: 100 mph Path Length /statute/: 4.02 miles Path Width /maximum/: 100 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 04/17/2026 Start Time: 04:51 PM CDT Start Location: 2 SW Hatfield / Jackson County / WI Start Lat/Lon: 44.3922 / -90.762 End Date: 04/17/2026 End Time: 04:58 PM CDT End Location: 2 SSE Lake Arbutus / Jackson County / WI End Lat/Lon: 44.3957 / -90.681 Survey Summary: This tornado developed southwest of Hatfield along the Black River and churned eastward, causing extensive damage to trees as it roughly paralleled Old Highway 54. Despite the extensive tree damage, damage to buildings along the path was limited, supporting an EF1 rating.
