Survey Summary:
A severe thunderstorm over northwestern Linn County Missouri
developed an EF-0 Tornado at 6:22 PM Saturday, May 16, 2026. This
tornado developed between Arbor Dr. and Beacon Rd. on Highway
139, resulting in EF-0 damage to an outbuilding, before crossing
a wooded area as it moved east-northeast toward Clark Dr. The
tornado produced additional EF-0 damage to a single family home
before removing a substantial area of metal roof covering over a
barn. Debris was spread east, northeast, and south of this
structure across an open field. Damage to trees east of the farm
was noted.

Survey Summary:
The same severe supercell thunderstorm that resulted in the first
Linn County tornado, resulted in a second north and east of
Shafter, MO. This tornado began at 6:28 PM CDT near the
intersection of Daisy and Clark Rd. It continued southeast
resulting in EF1 damage to several farm outbuildings, including
a wellbuilt barn. It picked up two empty grain bins and
distributed them east-northeast across open pasture. Damage was
noted in the tree-lines beyond the property to the southeast. The
track was picked back up along highway DD, where wideswaths of EF-
1 and EF0 tree damage were noted along both sides of the
highway. The path ends about a half mile before the intersection
with Highway Y around 6:32 PM CDT.

Survey Summary:
A shortlived EF0 tornado developed within a severe supercell
thunderstorm at 6:43 PM CDT approximately 2 miles east of Chula,
MO in Livingston county. The Tornado damaged trees south of
Highway K before crossing the highway, damaging a wood framed
metal building. The tornado removed the west facing roof
sheeting, depositing debris to the west and southwest. The
tornado ended in the open field to the east of this building
northwest of the Highway K and KK intersection.

Survey Summary:
NWS Damage Survey team confirmed a tornado occured Monday
evening, 5/18/2026, beginning at 9:47 PM CDT in southwestern Ray
County Missouri. This tornado caused primarily tree damage along
its path, but did impact two properties, one north of Fishing
River, shortly after the tornado developed. EF1 Damage to two
power poles, one out building was noted, along with the roll over
of an empty livestock trailer. The tornado resulted in widespread
EF1 tree damage near Reynolds Road and W 108th Street. The
tornado continued east-northeast, crossing highway 10 south of
Elkhorn before causing tree damage north of Swanwick before
crossing highway 13. The tornado ended near the intersection of
Frazier Road and Millville Road at 10:06 PM CDT.
