...NWS Damage Survey for 04/27 and 04/28, 2026 Tornado Events...

.Overview...On April 27 and April 28, 2026, several robust supercells
moved through the eastern Ozarks. No tornado reports were initially
received from these storms. After analysis of Sentinel-2 data along
the tracks of the supercells, it was concluded that an EF-0 tornado occurred 
in far eastern Shannon County on April 27, in a densely forested area near 
portions of the Ozark National Scenic Riverways. Additionally, it was 
identified that a brief EF-0 tornado occurred south of White Church on April 
28. Details of these tornadoes are outlined below.

Survey Summary:
A combination of radar and Sentinel-2 satellite data concluded an
EF0 tornado occurred about 1.5 miles east of Junction Ferry.
Satellite data depicted intermittent patches of tree damage in a
confined path from County Road P-235 to just east of State
Highway 106. Most of the path width ranged from 75 to 125 yards,
but at its widest point, the tornado's damage path was measured
to be 150 yards in width. The damage path length was 3.54 miles.

Survey Summary:
A combination of ground surveys, radar data, and Sentinel-
2 satellite data concluded an EF0 tornado briefly occurred
approximately 2 miles south of White Church. A short 0.6-mile
confined path of trees were damaged just east of State Route 17.
