Survey Summary:
An EF1 tornado with maximum estimated winds of up to 110 mph
began near Richman Rd and traveled east about 1.1 miles lifting
just prior to Bud Edge Rd. A barn near the beginning of the
tornado track was destroyed with the debris scattered from NW to
SE of the original structure. Debris from the barn was found over
a third of mile to the NE.

A double-wide also near the beginning of the path had significant
siding damage on the south side and some windows broken out on
the west side. The rear end of an SUV parked in gravel next to the
double-wide was pushed about 2 feet to the NE while a flag pole
in the front yard of the double-wide was blown down in a
southwesterly direction.

From there, the tornado traveled through mostly open fields but
did intersect a couple patches of hardwood trees. As it descended
a small hill near the middle of the path, several healthy and
mature locust trees were uprooted and some trunks were snapped
about 15 feet up and a swirling pattern was noted in the
surrounding pasture grass. One tree was observed down near Bud
Edge Rd and this is assumed to be the end of the tornado track as
no further damage was found.

We would like to thank the Barbour County Office of Emergency
Management & 911 and the homeowner for their assistance with this
damage survey.
