Overall damage was rather limited given the rural nature of the area (lots of open fields) but sporadic areas of roof, tree, and barn damage were found. Much of the damage was concentrated from E 1050 S and America Rd in Wabash County to E 650 N, east of SR 9 in Grant County. Videos and eyewitness reports indicate that dirt was being picked up and carried with the strong winds, occasionally lifting into the air, but despite this, no condensation funnels were observed. It is entirely possible weak gustnadoes or very rapid circulations did touch down over open fields in this area. The lack of widespread damage indicators and quick storm motion of 70 mph made it inconclusive on tornado damage for all but two areas. A breakdown of the two confirmed tornadoes is below. .Overview...Numerous thunderstorms produced areas of damaging winds and hail (some to over 2 inches in diameter). A supercell thunderstorm moved through south of Fort Wayne, IN, dropping 2 brief, weak tornadoes near the Wabash, Huntington, and Grant county lines on the evening of March 26th. .La Fontaine, IN... A small building was tipped and rolled towards the north and extensive leftover corn stubble and corn combs were noted in the yard and also carried to the north, landing on the east facing side of the home.
