The tornado moved generally northward to the east of River Rd causing additional damage mostly to trees. The strongest damage surveyed was along Dummyline Rd where it snapped several large trees, before crossing the Tangipahoa River. It then caused additional tree damage and destroyed a tent on the grounds of Camp Living Waters. It should be noted the tornado moved through several inaccessible areas as it neared and crossed the Tangipahoa River and continued north beyond the camp grounds. The tornado moved north-norhtwestward across US Hwy 90 causing minor damage just west of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. It continued to cause minor damage to homes as it moved through the Northwood Hills community. The tornado then turned more northeastward impacting rural areas in and around Indian Point Road before causing isolated tree and home damage along Westgate Parkway. The tornado continued to move northeastward and restrengthened as it approached Martin Bluff Road. In this area it caused roof damage to several buildings in the Bayou Village Apartments complex. In the Glenmark Apartments complex, the tornado destroyed an outbuilding, shifted a second small outbuilding from its foundation, and caused roof damage to several of the residential buildings. It also caused roof damage and the collapse of one building's parapet wall facade at the Riverbend Condominiums in the same area. The tornado crossed Martin Bluff Road causing more isolated tree and roof damage across Victoria and Courtney Drive. The tornado likely continued to cause at least minor tree damage in the forested area north of Courtney Dr, but this area was inaccessible. A Mississippi Department of Transportation traffic camera showed the tornado dissipating as it approached Interstate 10. ..Tornado #4 - Pascagoula, MS... This tornado began southwest of Blue Bird Canal where a defined, but weak path of damage to marsh vegetation was evident. The marsh damage continued northeast across Blue Bird Canal, narrowly missing fishing camps, and was collocated with a strong tornado vortex signature on KHDC radar imagery. The tornado intensified as it crossed the Intracoastal Waterway and Lake Hackberry with numerous displaced trees evident along a canal and maximum path width around 250 yards. This was collocated with a tornado debris signature that was identified on Climavision V014 radar imagery. The tornado continued northeast and quickly weakened which is corroborated by KHDC and Climavision radar imagery. The tornado was strongest as it approached Old Mobile Ave, where it uprooted several trees in a convergent pattern on the south side of the road near the intersection with Chateau Dr. As the tornado approached the north side of the Briarwood subdivision along Arrowhead Dr, it began to occlude, taking turn to the north and then northwest as it approached Industrial Ave. It then crossed Hwy 90 and lifted as it approached Shortcut Rd. && EF Scale: The Enhanced Fujita Scale classifies tornadoes into the following categories: EF0.....65 to 85 mph EF1.....86 to 110 mph EF2.....111 to 135 mph EF3.....136 to 165 mph EF4.....166 to 200 mph EF5.....>200 mph NOTE: The information in this statement is preliminary and subject to change pending final review of the events and publication in NWS Storm Data. $$ CAB/MD/KLG/TJS/DM
