...NWS Damage Survey Information for the June 18, 2026 Tornado Event Associated with the remnants
of Tropical Storm Arthur- Update #1 ...

.Overview...The remnants of Tropical Storm Arthur moved across the region during the afternoon and evening
hours of June 18, 2026. Several waves of severe weather occurred ahead of and during the passage of the
system including damaging winds, tornadoes and downbursts. The NWS surveyed the more significant damage
and damage which was most likely caused by a tornado. It should be noted that this was a complicated
survey process due to the nature of the meteorological feature which was causing the majority of the tornados listed
below. It was similar, but weaker, in many respects to the 2023 Griffin tornado. Preliminary results confirm
that 10 tornados occurred during the late afternoon and evening hours across North and Central Georgia.

This is a preliminary report which contains the basic statistics of the identified tornados and downburst. A full writeup
is still in progress and will be released upon completion. We would like to thank the various County Emergency Management
agencies for their assistance with these surveys, including areal footage and additional ground survey support.
