...NWS Damage Survey for 04/17/26 Tornado Event...

A line of storms moved along the Missouri River during the evening
of April 17th, 2026. A few, brief tornadoes quickly spun up along
the leading edge of the line, producing tree damage in Warren and
Lincoln Counties in Missouri.

Survey Summary:
A brief tornado touched down just north of the Missouri River south 
of Pinckney, and moved north-north east, dissipating along Smith
Creek Road. Tree damage was observed along the path, with the worst
damage consisting of uprooted trees, resulting in estimated wind
speeds of approximately 90 mph.

Survey Summary:
A brief tornado touched down along Linns Mill Road near Coon Creek, 
southwest of Troy, and moved northeast. The tornado crossed Forest
Acres Lane and Crooked Creek before lifting along Sugar Grove Road.
Along it's path it produced tree damage, snapping some tree trunks
and uprooting other trees. This damage suggests a maximum wind
speed of approximately 95 mph.
