...NWS Damage Survey for 06/11/2026 Tornado Event Update 5...

.Update The previous Johnson/Shelby county tornado has been
extended by 6.2 miles with the peak winds upped from 90 mph to 105
and the path width increased from 50 yards to 200 yards as
additional tornadic damage was found further east into Shelby
county. We thank Shelby County Emergency Management for the
information needed for this extension.

Survey Summary:
The tornado touched down west of Campbell road and impacted
several farm buildings along Campbell road. One of the farm
buildings was completely destroyed with debris scattered into an
open field to the east. The tornado then mostly traveled over
farm fields in eastern Johnson county before impacting two homes
along Rocklane Road. Debris from a damaged outbuilding near the
first home on Rocklane Road was picked up and thrown about
650 yards to the northeast. The tornado continued into Shelby
county where it impacted one home along West 525 North before
traveling through open fields and impacting one additional home
on 600W. The tornado then tracked mostly through open fields,
impacting a home south of Clover Village before it crossed
Interstate 74 and passed harmlessly through several additional
fields. There was another concentrated area of damage near 75W
and 600N where widespread tree damage and minor home damage was
noted. It then dissipated in an open field near Hill Branch
Creek. The tornado may have lifted briefly along the path.
