Survey Summary: On June 26th, 2026, an organized cluster of 
thunderstorms was pushing eastward along the Highway 50 corridor. 
While the cluster was organizing into a bowing segment, a brief 
tornado developed along the leading edge of the complex to the 
northeast of Las Animas, Colorado. This brief tornado developed 
around the intersection of Fort Lyon Canal Rd and County Road 17, 
before quickly drifting to the northeast. This tornado may have 
caused tree damage around the road intersection, however, we are 
still awaiting further information about this. Given this, the 
tornado will be rated EF-Unkown (EF-U) at this time, and will be 
updated once additional information is received.

following categories:

EF0.....65 to 85 mph
EF1.....86 to 110 mph
EF2.....111 to 135 mph
EF3.....136 to 165 mph
EF4.....166 to 200 mph
EF5.....>200 mph
