Survey Summary:
A NWS ground survey confirmed an EF-1 tornado with maximum
sustained winds of 90 mph tracked across portions of southeast
Pike and southwest Walthall counties. This tornado began near
Smithburg, MS at the intersection of Mount Herman Road and Silver
Drive where it uprooted a tree and snapped branches. Additional
EF-0 tree damage was identified on Blanchard and Smithburg roads.
The tornado peaked in intensity as an EF-1 as it crossed over
Harold Alford Road uprooting and snapping several trees as well
as taking down wooden transmission lines. The tornado then
weakened causing EF-0 damage to trees as it crossed Brockdale Rd
and the Bogue Chitto River. The end point of this tornado is
estimated to be after it crossed MS Hwy 27 where it caused
additional tree damage in a confluent pattern. Additional
revisions to this tornado are possible after high resolution
satellite analysis is conducted over the coming weeks.

.Northern Wilkinson County, MS...

End Location: 9 WNW Crosby / Adams County / MS
End Lat/Lon: 31.3547 / -91.1877

Survey Summary:
A tornado touched down west of the intersection of Old Highway
61 Perry Town Rd, near Ireland, MS. This tornado does connect
into Jackson's area and moves through Adams and Franklin Counties
before continuing northeast. This is a long track EF3 tornado but
the part in Wilkinson is rated EF2 based on large swatches of
snapped trees. The majority of the damage is to trees but
multiple larger sheds and double wides received damage or destroyed.
It's unlikely this is where the track actually started but we are
waiting for additional drone and satellite data. It's also
possible the track changes as we start to discern tornado damage
from straight line wind damage. This info will all be updated as
new data arrives.
