These storms produced large hail, straight line winds in excess of 80 mph and several tornadoes. The following information is for two tornado tracks surveyed on May 19th with at least 2 more tracks, including Grinnell Kansas expected to be added tomorrow. All data is preliminary and subject to change as new information is received. .Cheyenne County KS Tornado damage... Rating: EF2 Estimated Peak Wind: 133 mph Path Length /statute/: 3.71 miles Path Width /maximum/: 20 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 05/17/2025 Start Time: 05:15 PM CDT Start Location: 9 WSW St. Francis / Cheyenne County / KS Start Lat/Lon: 39.7011 / -101.9502 End Date: 05/17/2025 End Time: 05:25 PM CDT End Location: 8 W St. Francis / Cheyenne County / KS End Lat/Lon: 39.7544 / -101.9591 Survey Summary: Narrow tornado developed 9 WSW of St. Francis and moved to the north. Tornado appeared to be narrow based on tree row damage and damage path through wheat field. Start and end times currently estimated. Majority of damage fell into EF1 range with small pocket of more intense damage. Currently assumed to be one continuous path, but will use satellite data to confirm once available. .Hitchcock County, Nebraska Tornado damage...
