Survey Summary:
Park employees traveling on I-10 sent in a picture of a tornado in
rural portions of Pecos County south of the interstate. Other
pictures from county EMS and from a nearby gas plant were received
shortly after. The tornado tracked near the gas plant and a pipeline
construction site. However, despite the presence of potential damage
indicators, Pecos County emergency management was unable to find any
damage or a damage path. The tornado was therefore rated EF-Unknown.
The approximate tornado track is estimated from radar. The width of
the tornado is also estimated.
