...NWS Damage Survey for September 14th 2025 Tornado Event Update

Damage reports were just received from the Menoken area from the 
tornadoes on September 14th. These reports lengthened the original
track that started east of Menoken, with a total estimated path 
length of 2.8 miles. With the known damage at two separate 
locations north of Menoken, this tornado has been given a 
preliminary rating of EF1. There are 20 known tornadoes from the 
September 14th event.

Survey Summary:
Storm chaser video confirmed tornado started approximately
2 miles east of Menoken. The tornado was probably intermittently
on the ground, traveling northwest before coming to a farmstead
just north of Interstate 94. This is where the most significant
damage occurred, with the tin roof of an old pole barn ripped off
and tossed into nearby trees. The damage to the pole barn was
given an EF-1 damage rating. Various debris was scattered across
the property, including a trampoline, and a larger barn door was
dented. The tornado then progressed further to the northwest,
crossing 158th Street Northeast and impacting another property.
At this location, a single-wide trailer had shingle damage and a
few 75 year old trees had either large branches down or were
fully uprooted. Estimated max wind with this tornado was 95 mph.
