The broad damage footprint with embedded areas of more concentrated damage suggests this path consisted of multiple vortices originating from the same parent mesocyclone. Tree damage was most prolific west of I-55 along Jack Lane, Summit Drive, Beachnut Trail, Wallace Drive, Montgomery Road, Dry Creek Trail, and Homesville Road. A house on Jack Lane sustained shingle damage, and outbuildings were damaged on Montgomery Road, Beachnut Trail, and Big Creek Drive. A mobile home was also damaged along Beachnut. The tornado crossed I-55 about two miles south of the Bogue Chitto exit, then weakened and lifted as it moved through the Norfield community.
