...NWS Damage Survey for 06/18/2026 Tornado Event...

A tornado has been confirmed in Franklin County, Indiana and
Butler County, Ohio. This statement has been updated to reflect
an adjustment to the start point of the tornado.

Survey Summary:

The first evidence of tornado damage occurred along Gobblers Knob
Road, where some trees were damaged. Additional damage was found
on Seeley Road, where large tree limbs were knocked down. The
tornado moved east, producing more tree damage along Johnson Fork
Road. The tornado strengthened as it moved into Drewersburg,
producing more significant tree damage along Welsh Drive and
Drewersburg Road. One single family home along Welsh Road had its
roof completely lifted off with collapse of some exterior walls.
Winds that produced this damage were estimated to be around
125 mph, which corresponds to an EF-2 rating on the Enhanced
Fujita Scale. A roof was also lifted off a home on Drewersburg
Road.

The tornado curved southeast as it moved onto State Line Road, 
blowing some large tree limbs down. The tornado weakened to EF-0 
intensity as it moved into Butler County, Ohio. A few large tree 
limbs were knocked down on Schradin Road, and this is believed to 
be the end of the tornado.

County, Indiana Emergency Management Agency and the Butler County,
Ohio Emergency Management Agency for their assistance and support
with this damage survey.

EF Scale: The Enhanced Fujita Scale classifies tornadoes into the
following categories:

EF0.....65 to 85 mph
EF1.....86 to 110 mph
EF2.....111 to 135 mph
EF3.....136 to 165 mph
EF4.....166 to 200 mph
EF5.....>200 mph
