NWRUG next week — AI Is Going to Take Your Job (And What, If Anything, You Can Do About It)

Our next NWRUG is in next week on 15 January at Colony, One Silk Street, Will Jessop will give us his opinion on the current state of AI and how it affects us:

It's been impossible to miss the rise of AI over the last few years, and the impact it's had on programming as an activity and career. In this talk I will discuss why I think AI is here to stay, what that ultimately means for people like us who consider ourselves to be programmers, and what, if anything, we can do to insulate ourselves from any negative consequences this will have for the industry.

We’ll be at the venue for pizza from 6:30pm with the talk starting at 7pm. Afterwards we’ll retire to The Crown & Kettle for a drink. The venue, pizza, and drinks are kindly provided by our sponsors Fatsoma and thoughtbot.
