Hi folks,
Good news for all you North West Ruby fans out there: NWRUG is coming back for in-person events!
The evening of Thursday 20 April will be our inaugural return, kindly hosted by IntelliCentrics UK on Spring Gardens in Manchester city centre.
Our plan for NWRUG going forward is to aim to have a live talk if we can get one. But if not we’ll still meet and instead we’ll watch a carefully-selected conference talk video together. Plus of course the usual pre and post talk socialising and Ruby-based chat.
The talk for this month is yet to be decided. If you have any suggestions for a recent conference talk that you think would be good to screen, drop an email to in...@nwrug.org. Same goes if you are thinking about giving a talk! We’re always eager for our members to share things with the group, and we’re happy to help you in your prep in any way we can.
I’m also happy to announce that our long-standing NWRUG member Rob Whittaker (AKA @purinkle) will be joining myself and Brandon in organising NWRUG. Rob is Thoughtbot’s Director of Software Development in Europe, West Asia and Africa and recently made the move back up North.
