Hi folks,

It’s that time again, NWRUG’s back with a talk from James Ridgeway. James will be showing us the benefits of using immutable servers as part of an immutable infrastructure to deploy our Rails applications. We’ll be there from 6:30pm with food and drinks kindly provided by our hosts On the Beach. The talk will start at 7pm.

Cheers,

Tekin

Sounds interesting.

I hadn't a clue what it was, so found this Martin Fowler blog on it:

Hallo from Berlin btw.

Hi folks,

A reminder that NWRUG is on tomorrow night at the On the Beach offices behind Piccadilly station. James Ridgeway is coming over from Sheffield to share with us what he’s learn about running Rails applications on AWS EC2 Spot Instances.

There will be food and refreshments from 6:30pm on the night thanks to our gracious hosts On the Beach. The talk will start at 7pm.

If you’re planning on attending it would be helpful if you could sign up on our Meetup page to give On the Beach an idea of numbers and so they can print out name badges ahead of the event: https://www.meetup.com/North-West-Ruby-User-Group/events/jdlpqqyzhbvb/

Cheers,

Tekin
