Chromium password manager stopped working

In a recent release (not exactly sure which version), the Chromium password manager stopped working in my nw.js app.

Was that a deliberate change, or is it a regression? And is there some way to get it back?

I can post example code, or track down the exact version number where it stopped working in my app, if necessary. But I thought I'd ask around generally first.

I haven't been able to create a minimum reproduction yet, but I can observe it with in the final build of my app, and I can see that the regression happened in nwjs 0.33.0.

I'll keep trying to make a minimum example, and when I do, I'll file an issue.
