is it possible to keep the top bar in the window?

I don't want the address bar, but I do want the standard "minimize/maximize/close" icons that exist on every app.

You can try to set `toolbar` in package.json like below

"window": {

  "toolbar":false

That did it. thanks. I thought I tried that before and it removed the window frame. Must have been somethign else.
