Initial path of file dialogs

Is there a way to set the initial path of the file dialogs? I want to be able to intelligently suggest where files might be saved so that people don't have to do a bunch of navigating, for example.

Currently my full time is spent on 0.5.0, which is due this month. I'll
see this in 0.5.0 or 0.5.1.
