Dear Community,

Flash appeared to be working flawlessly in node-webkit. I'm wondering if there's any way to suppress Flash security panel for certain features, namely webcam and microphone.

Using Flash for webcam and microphone is still a good option before webrtc is fully implemented. Currently, I have to let the user see this odd Flash permission dialog to allow microphone usage. And if the user didn't click 'Remember', he/she would have to do this again the next time.

I'm wondering if it's possible to suppress it by pre-approve webcam/mic usage, or disable this panel altogether?

Best regards,
He Shiming

I don't know where node-webkit's flash settings stored, but here is installed system-wide flash player settings:

Встроенное изображение 1

1. There is no option "allow all sites"
2. You can add items to allowed/denied list
3. This settings are stored (on windows) at %appdata%\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\macromedia.com\support\flashplayer\sys
There is settings.sol — global settings, and folders for each item in list.

Hope this helps.

Thank you. You are right, the flash plugin in node-webkit is using the global flash player settings.sol files. And for reference, when serving via the file:// protocol, the folder is '#local'. Now I just need to figure out how to tamper with .sol files.
