Currently trying node-webkit, and it seems that mp3 aren't played back
(but .wav files are).

I've tried placing avcodec-54.dll, avformat-54.dll and avutil-51.dll
as mentionned in "Which files should be shipped?", but this didn't
work (got them from my regular Chrome install, they weren't in the pre-
built zip, while "ffmpegsumo.dll" was).

Is mp3 unsupported or is there something else to be done?

MP3 should be supported. Could you please try to put Chrome's ffmpegsumo.dll also?

I've not touched ffmpegsumo.dll, it's just alongside the nw.exe as
extracted frome the 0.3.4 win32 zip.

You need ffmpegsumo.dll from Chrome 25 to override the same file from node-webkit. That file contains the mp3 codec.

Chrome 25 can be get from dev channel: http://dev.chromium.org/getting-involved/dev-channel

Got even the latest build of ffmpegsumo.dll alongside nw.exe with no
better results...
(up to http://commondatastorage.googleapis.com/chromium-browser-snapshots/index.html?path=Win/168792/)

If you want to check if it works on your side, try opening bit.ly/
wartrail in nw.exe, you'll get no music (mp3), but effects (wav) when
playing.

MP3 work in regular Chrome.

Hi Eric,

It's interesting that the DLL from Chrome 25 works here (I can hear music), but the one from you link doesn't.

I'll see it.

The dll from the Canary version works too, thanks!
(I need stable channel for tests, which is why I tried to get the
binary directly from the snapshot builds)

Startup times are really impressive btw. Now on to start making use of
node.js itself!
