Hi Everyone,
A transparent NWJS window is blackening out the inbound videos being played on the MS teams meeting App on citrix. when u minimize the nwjs window, the video gets back to normal.
Also for the context, the behaviour is absolutely normal when try the same thing on Zoom or teams web  version.
Any one faced any such issue earlier, or what could be the possible reason for that.

Hello Deepak, what is the app that creates the transparent NWJS window? Does the window cover the Teams video elements?

Hi Eswar,
That is a custom App which I have created which uses the transparent NWJS window.
Yes the NWJS window covers the entire screen (including the teams video element). However only the video element part is becoming black.

Hi Deepak

Thanks for the confirmation. Your Teams app is being optimized and somehow the transparency of your NWJS window is not being recognized properly by the optimization. Changing focus should also get back the videos to be normal instead of minimizing.  Citrix has worked on a better overlay tracking which will fix this issue. Can you confirm your Citrix VDA and CWA version and Teams version ?

Thanks
Sathvika

Hi Sathvika,
Here are the version details
Citrix VDA :  2311.0.0.247
CW 2409: 24.9.1.207
Teams: Classic 1.7.00.21751

Is there any way/Configurations to turn off these optimization?

Hi,
Here are the version information
VDA: 2311.0.0.247
CWA: 24.9.1.207
Teams: MS Teams Classic 1.7.00.21751

Do we have any way to disable these MS Teams performance optimizations.

Hi Deepak

Those versions do not include the Advanced overlay feature that I mentioned; you would need to upgrade to access it.
We wouldn't advise disabling optimization due to potential performance issues, but you can temporarily disable it by turning off the 'Microsoft Teams Redirection' policy on the DDC for testing purposes

Thanks
Sathvika

Hi Sathvika,
Thanks for the update.
It would be really helpful if you can share the version which we should upgrade to.
I am assuming that its gonna be VDA & CWA versions.

Can ya'll take this conversation elsewhere since it has nothing to do with NW.js? Thanks!
