NW.js v0.98.1 Released with Node.js v23.10.0

Node.js in NW v0.98.1 is updated with v23.10.0.

In NW v0.98, Chromium 135 contains usual under-the-hood performance and stability tweaks, but there are also some cool new features to explore. It supports new CSS features, Dispatching click events to captured pointer, The fetchLater API and much more. Please check upstream release notes for details. For a complete list of all features (including experimental features) in this release, see the Chrome 135 milestone hotlist.

I've made the 0.98 branch ready soon after Chromium beta bumps to 135. Thanks to the testers for their valuable feedback and bug reports. I've been working on 2 branches simultaneously: a released branch on the current Chromium stable and a beta branch on Chromium beta.

SDK build:

Binary for other platforms: https://dl.nwjs.io/v0.98.1/

There are 2 builds for each platform - normal build, and SDK build. Normal build doesn't have devtools, only SDK build does. lt can be opened by pressing F12 (Cmd-Alt-I on OSX). SDK packages also have more development tools to be exposed in the following releases, as well as the NaCl support.

Our build infrastructure enables live binary build from git tip so you can access to the latest binary from https://dl.nwjs.io/live-build/

Please, have a look again at this 2 bugs - I've left additional comments there:

#7855 - Mar 15, 2022 - navigator.mediaDevices.enumerateDevices() doesn't work in <webview> properly
#8170 - Mar 6, 2024 - Clipboard doesn't work in a webview

And is there any hope that at least one of these bugs will be fixed:

#7862 - Apr 14, 2022 - Webview reloads after being moved through the DOM
#7976 - Oct 7, 2022 - webview.request.on* doesn't intercept requests made by Web Workers
#7994 - Nov 7, 2022 - Allow blocking Node.js and NW.js API access separately
#8235 - Nov 15, 2024 - Camera and microphone do not work in iframes

The minute I require any node-module nwjs crashes.

This wasn't the case with NW.js v0.98 (i believe this is because of the Node.js update)

Do we have to pay attention to anything with this update v23.3.0 > v23.10.0?
