US Sailing Adaptive Sailing Instructor Workshop
Who should take this course: Anyone interested in creating and managing an adaptive sailing programs to teach sailors with disabilities including; physical, intellectual, vision impairments, autism, etc.
Prerequisites: Successful completion of Teaching and Coaching. May audit the class if not yet certified as a US Sailing Small Boat Level 1 or Basic Keelboat Instructor certification.
Course length: 3-day, 25 hour course

US Sailing Level 1 Small Boat Instructor
Who should take this course: Anyone interested in teaching beginner level sailors.
Prerequisites: Must turn 16 in the calendar year, successful completion of Teaching and Coaching Fundamentals Online, and of the online section of this course and NASBLA Approved Boating Certificate. You must be able to sail a dinghy and safely drive a powerboat.
Course length: 6 hours online, 3 days/30 hours in-person. You MUST complete the online section before attending an in-person one.
You must be registered for the online section of this course before you can register for the in person section, but you can register for the in-person course before completing the online section.

Prerequisites: Current Level 1 Certification. Must wait 9 months after initial Level 1 certification.
