Farm Day in Oberlin!

Hi Everyone,

When the school year ended, Brad and I said we would plan a day that students from Mrs. Cobb's class (or anyone else interested) could come to our farm in Oberlin to play and see how it runs. We are excited to say we would like to host an event on Saturday, July 27 from 2-5pm.

The agenda is basically play, food, some projects for the kids, and general communing with each other and nature.

If you are interested in coming, please RSVP with your child(ren)'s name(s) and age(s) here. All we ask is that you bring the following: clothes that can get messy, boots/shoes, sun protection, water/water bottles. And we have a pond on the farm and a small pool near the house, if you'd like to bring swimsuits. If you'd like you can bring a potluck dish and we'll plan to prepare food from things grown on the farm.

I'm sure we can use some activity ideas as well. We don't intend upon filling up all of the time with stuff, but if you have a thought, feel free to share.

Our home address is 44270 Oberlin Elyria Road, Oberlin 44074 and our farm address is 44333 State Route 511, Oberlin, 44074.

As the date nears we'll post more details!

We'll try to be there.

The theater camp that Baxter is going to is having it's final performance that day. I have it in my calendar as 12-2 at Fairview Park, so we'll head down after that is done. We probably won't be there until at least 3:00 I'd guess. If anyone needs a ride or wants to carpool, let me know. I'll have extra seats in the car.

Hi! Yes, the farm day is still on, though it seems there is a chance of rain. We will start the day at the Farm, so please meet up there. Let me know if you need the address again. I'm excited to see everyone and I hope the rain happens earlier in the day so the kids can play. See you all soon!

Thanks so much for hosting this fun farm day!!! I am so disappointed that I can't make it, but I have two other commitments on Saturday. Fortunately, the Rentas' were kind enough to let Maya go with them. She is so excited to see all of her friends, and of course all of the cool things on the farm.

Ok, it's supposed to rain all day, so we're going to reschedule for next Saturday, same time, same place. I hope is not a huge inconvenience. Winston is terribly sad, and will look forward to seeing everyone next Saturday.
