New Communication Platform for NWIS-Parents

Hello all,

I feel we need to move away from Google Groups, as there are a lot of problems with Google's service and I think we can do better on another platform. There are discussion platforms that have more features than Google Groups and are easier to use.

Piet and I have been poking around and we've identified 3 possible platforms:

1) BigTent
2) Wikispaces
3) Groupspaces

#1 and #2 are free (I think), whereas #3 is modest cost.

Does anyone have experiences with these three? Would anyone be willing to volunteer to check a few of them out? I think we would all benefit, and I would appreciate other people's opinions.
