Literary Lots is here! Two weeks of arts and writing programs for kids in Novak Park, outside theCarnegie West branch of the Cleveland Public Library. The project kicks of Saturday morning at 9 a.m. with community mural painting, and programs begin on Sunday. Click here for the schedule.

To learn more about the origins of the project, read organizer Kauser Razvi’s recent guest post at theLibrary as Incubator blog. (And here’s a post from me, getting geeky.)

OCW volunteers who have completed the background check should have received an email about volunteering opportunities at Literary Lots. If you haven’t completed the background check, it’s easy. Visit the self-pay online portal, and use the password ocwvols3208.

Former CSU creative writing teacher Neal Chandler leads an adult workshop, Real Stories, Well Told, starting Sept. 7. This will fill quickly, so don’t wait to register.

This free kids program, held outside the Carnegie West library, will be a good one.  I am excited to offer art classes there over the next two weeks in an outside play area inspired by kid's storybooks.

Please join me!  The link for the schedule is below.
