LOGLINE: A young couple save themselves for marriage, even though they will only have one night together before the groom has to leave for the Army. The night of the wedding they get locked out of their honeymoon cottage and end up on a wild adventure. All they want is to make it back to town so they can find a hotel for the night, but everything they do seems to push them further away. And things get far worse when their family members find out and offer their "help". They saved themselves for the wedding night, and now they'll have to save themselves from the wedding night. The two people who did everything right are about to have everything go wrong. A comedy about waiting and waiting and waiting some more.

CHARACTERS:NICK - 17 DAYS
-22. A young man full of confidence and hope for the future. He is determined to live a life that honors God and country. He is very much in love with Mary and excited about becoming her husband, even though he has no idea what that will entail. He believes in doing things the right way, and when things go wrong it takes him by surprise.
MARY - 17 DAYS
-Also 22. She has all the beautiful charm and naivety of a young woman in love. Consequently, she has no qualms about rushing in to marriage with Nick. He is the man of her dreams, so why wait? But she also loves her father, who is not convinced Nick is the right man for her. Though she is caught in a tug of war between the two, her relentless optimism (or perhaps naivety) makes her believe it will all work out.
THOMAS - 9 DAYS
Mid 40s or early 50s. Mary's high-anxiety dad. He is terrified that his little girl, who he loves most in the world, has made a huge mistake by rushing in to marriage with someone leaving for war.
TOAD - 9 DAYS

HAMISH SINCLAIR - 1 DAY
-Mid 70s. Originally from Scotland, he left as a young man and has lived in America ever since. Now in the twilight of his life, he has grown crotchety and irritable, but he still has a quick wit and sense of humor.
COLONEL BENTSON - 2 DAYS
