Event: Building an Anarchist Movement Thursday, June 4
5:15pm-7pm
Timberland Library
313 8th Ave SE
Downtown Olympia, WA
Join us in a discussion free and open to the public about the tradition of anarchism that Common Action is rooted in: The Spanish Revolution, the Makhnovschina anarchist struggle in Ukraine, the Chicago Idea/Haymarket Synthesis, southern Mexico, Zabalaza in South Africa and the Love and Rage Revolutionary Anarchist Federation.
- What is the relevance of these struggles to our situation and our struggle today?
- What can we learn from the anarchist expressions of struggle such as especifismo in Uruguay, platformism from Ukraine and Russia and zapatismo from Chiapas, Mexico?
- How can we create a relevant and effective broad-based anarchist movement nationally and locally?
Brought to you by the Olympia branch of Common Action--
