Below are my minutes for our recent meeting. If you attended, please review them while it is relatively fresh in your minds.
If I left something out or made another mistake PLEASE know I want you to tell us! I'll submit this for review the week before our next all club meeting once again. 
I will also publish them on our Facebook group for members only.

Approve minutes from general meeting in August. Mark motioned to approve, Lark seconded. All approved August minutes as published.

"We have $8,671.80 in our Wells Fargo account.  $267.67 in our PayPal from trophy donations, which will be transferred.  The total for both is $8,939.47.  A full report on the specialties will happen once they are complete.')


COMMITTEE REPORTS

GENERAL DISCUSSION HIGHLIGHTS

Performance

Mark Long

·       The committee is working on coordinating a regular schedule for meeting.
The club is supporting the Greater Clark County KC (GCCK) performance weekend (12/6,7) the week after conformation. Emily said there will be trophies for Saturday am.

· Marika mentioned that RiverRAT will be having a barn hunt at the GCCKC performance weekend.

Newsletter

Léo

·  If anyone wants to help they are welcome to but Léo feels she can keep it going as well as being secretary.

Membership

Mary Joyce

· No applications. Nothing in the “comment period.” Full list of members on the membership page on the website. New bylaws will require changes to how folks are listed to designate them as associate, regular, etc.

IT/Website

·       No report.

·       More will be posted in the coming weeks. Alexis asked that we “like” and “share” posts to help get the word out. Request for photos to help promote the specialty.

SPECIALTY SHOW

COMMITTEE REPORTS

GENERAL DISCUSSION HIGHLIGHTS

November 2025

·       Emily Fish reported.
The specialty was finally approved. Nightmare with AKC. Herding group approved.

Judges

 

·       Judge change. Deb Shindle’s husband’s health prevents her from fulfilling her assignment.
Mark Russo, Pembroke breede, will take her place. Recently approved for Cardigans. Well-liked and has been to the national and other JE events.
Kathryn Schwabe still is judging our Saturday specialty. David Green judging sweeps that day. They will be there all weekend.

Trophies

 

·       They keep on coming. Embroidered chairs and bags Saturday. Themed baskets for Sunday.

Hospitality

 

·       Get your grooming in.
Meeting possibly on Friday. Judges education "lunch and learn." 12-1:30
, all can attend. Free.

Stacie Sweeney is organizing a snack-luck.

Secret Santa

·       Go to the website and click on the Santa Cardigan. The questions are to help your Santa with getting you something you will like.

Basket Raffle

 

·       We need a volunteer or it’s not going to happen. Emily has too much to do to coordinate. If we are going to have it a volunteer needs to step up within the next two weeks. To organize and monitor Saturday. On Saturday there will be club helpers to help monitor the table.
Léo asked how much the basket raffle earned last year and Emily said something like $700.

OLD BUSINESS

GENERAL DISCUSSION HIGHLIGHTS

Specialties for 2026

Denise: All breed clubs in the area in flux. Until it settles down with what is happening what weekend we don’t know what we will do.

See Richland/Walla Walla in New Business below.
Other options discussed by those present: Chehalis (Lark is in that club and on a committee). Enumclaw.

Denise advocated for having a specialty on the eastern side of our territory. She listed a few options including Walla Walla, Richland, Missoula.

By-laws

·       Up for vote online, limited to 10 days. Denise said it needs to be a hard deadline to get it done. 14 had voted online by the time the meeting was happening.

Annual Meeting ideas

·       Not sure when or if we can. The schedule is so full. We will have to wait until the judging schedule comes out to see when we can have it.

NEW BUSINESS

GENERAL DISCUSSION HIGHLIGHTS

Richland/Walla Walla

·       Denise: Richland and Walla Walla are splitting. Richland at fairgrounds the same weekend at the end of September or so. Full hookups/indoor shows.
Columbia River performance? Obedience/rally?
Denise will find out who the judges will be.

Walla Walla moving to March 27-29.
