I've had a couple of requests to share this, so here it is:
skeleton/commits/monster>

Those are my KDE 4, Konsole, Screen, Vim, Zsh, and Bash startup files that
give me the environment I want and are relatively portable. I've used them on
SLES10, boxes, various flavors of Debian/Ubuntu, and some of the files even
work in HP-UX environments.

There's two helper scripts in there, too. They either sync up my local $HOME
with a git checkout / tarball or they report the changes in my local $HOME
from what is in the current checkout / tarball. They make sharing changes
between a half-dozen systems fairly easy, though they do require some tools
that aren't always available.

Of course, if you don't use any of these applications, it will be mostly
useless to you, though it might make for some good examples of shell code if
you need to learn some shell scripting.

Now, I need to see what Zac's repository of the same nature looks like and
crib some sweet zsh/VCS integration.
