We invite you to join as a sponsor of this uprising of local communal outrage!
Friday July 12th, 2019, Lights for Liberty: A Vigil to End Human Detention Camps, will bring thousands of Americans to detention camps across the country, as well as to parks, churches, public spaces, and into our own front yards, to protest the inhumane conditions faced by refugees.
Local citizens will be gathering at 5:00 on Friday, July 12 in NW Philadelphia at Lovett Park, 6945 Germantown Avenue, Philadelphia, PA, 19119 to protest the inhumane, despicable treatment of those fleeing persecution.
“The Trump administration’s immigration policies and detention camps meet the United Nations’ definition of genocide and crimes against humanity,” said Elizabeth Cronise McLaughlin, lawyer, activist and organizer. “Congress is refusing to stop the president and his policies. We cannot allow these atrocities to be perpetrated in our name.”
Join us to express our disgust and redouble our resistance!
