Thanks.  I can’t go personally but it looks like a great conference.  Should i forward to the NW coalition?  It’s a little late since the deadline is today.

JFI National Conference Scholarships Available!
JFI Colleagues,

The 2018 Justice for Immigrants National Conference is quickly approaching and we want to see you there!

This year's conference will take place in Arlington, Virginia at the beautiful Hyatt Regency, from December 5th-7th, 2018. Make sure that you register, both for the conference and the hotel.

We are excited to announce that a limited number of scholarships are available for the conference for those who are traveling outside the D.C., Maryland and Virginia area. You can apply today by downloading the scholarship form, filling it out and sending it to j...@usccb.org. The scholarship application deadline is Monday, November 5th, so get those applications in today!

The conference will feature religious leaders, immigration and refugee advocates and leaders and members of the business community and philanthropy leaders with ideas of how you can engage your community and get involved. There will also be an advocacy workshop that will provide a better understanding of what's happening in the realm of migration policy on the Hill as we prepare to meet with political leaders on Friday, December 7th.

The following is a list of the panels on Thursday, December 6th:

Plenary Sessions
  • Welcoming the Stranger in Challenging Times: The Road Forward
Breakout Sessions
  • Insights from the Experts: Tips for Increasing Capacity to Support Refugees and Immigrants
  • Examining Enforcement and Protections for Migrants Children and Their Families
  • Current State of Play: Refugee Protection and Resettlement, Where are We and What Next?
  • Breaking the Bonds: An Analysis of Current Trends and Challenges in the Fight Against Human Trafficking
  • Taking Stock on Immigration: Understanding Roll Backs to Existing Immigration Protections
  • Welcoming Strangers as our Sisters and Brothers
Your presence at the 2018 JFI National Conference will help to make an impact in your community. Take advantage of the reduced priced rooms that we have reserved at the Hyatt Regency Hotel and book your room today. Rooms are limited.
We look forward to seeing you in December in Arlington!

In Solidarity,
