Dear Friends,

Many of us are watching in despair concerning targeted Afghans  who have been left behind now that the U.S. evacuation is completed.   Nonprofits and pro bono immigration lawyers have been working furiously to file applications for "Humanitarian Parole" which creates a legal pathway to the United States for those whose lives may be at risk of serious harm.   The Philadelphia Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers (AILA), in conjunction with HIAS PA is hosting a zoom training on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 7 PM on how community members can become sponsors for those seeking Humanitarian Parole who remain behind in Afghanistan or are abroad in a neighboring country.

Please check your email later this week for the link to this presentation.
