Please join us this Thursday, December 19 at 12 - 1 pm at the Catto Statue, at the south side of City Hall, facing Broad Street South. From there we will proceed to the first of two locations where we will demonstrate for about 20 minutes each.

We will be protesting the fact that the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has refused to vaccinate refugee children in detention against the flu and demanding the end of the detention of refugees

Attached are two documents: the flier that we will be handing out and a song sheet for Elders and Friends. If you can, please print out a copy of the song sheet for yourself. That will minimize our time distributing copies to our members. Many thanks to several of our members (listed on sheet) who wrote these lyrics.

Our protest program will consist of:
  1. Brief introduction of who we are and why we are protesting
  2. Barbara Gold, MD (pediatrician) speaking to the medical urgency of vaccinating children in detention
  3. Singing holiday songs with refugee lyrics
  4. Dr. Gold's closing remarks that health care is a human right for all
