Agenda Meeting and Neighborhood Assembly Revival

Hey Everybody,
its almost time for our Neighborhood Assemblies revival. Since the beginning our Westpdx assembly and our NE Assembly have not been very active nor consistent. And as a result of this plight, we have upgraded our efforts to increase public attendance and make these gatherings more successful. We have used the inactivity of this past holiday season to focus our organizing and we are almost at that point where we will increase the pace and be more productive.
Now that we have canvassed some neighborhoods and created a general agenda for the meetings, we need to create a detailed program for the two assemblies scheduled to take place this Saturday, January 7th. We are calling for anyone who is interested in helping us create an a program that will welcome newcomers and foster their participation in this movement. These agenda meetings are expected to take place either weekly, biweekly, or as needed, in order to prepare the program for the assemblies at the very least two or more weeks in advance.
If you find that your desire to help increases, or if you'd like to begin right away, you may want to consider becoming a POC, (point of contact). POCs are a team of people ,of at least two or more, who will simply participate in making a program and to communicate the status of the assemblies to the Outreach Cmitte which acts as a Headquarters for the neighborhoods. We welcome all the help we could get to bring the Occupy Portland service to our communities.
You are invited to attend one agenda meeting already planned. We are meeting at:
PSU's Urban Center in room 610 or 611 at 11am this Friday January 6th. This will be a meeting for both the Westpdx and the NE Assemblies.
This is truly an exciting time. Its the beginning of a promising year and we are gonna start it right with a focus of advancing this revolution by allowing the People and the neighborhoods to own it.
